Record a Poem at Poetry Center Online

92Y's Unterberg Poetry Center has celebrated literature for 75 years by presenting poets reading their work. Poets such as W. H. Auden, Adrienne Rich, Derek Walcott, Elizabeth Bishop, and Pablo Neruda have read their work from the stage at 92nd Street Y, a Jewish cultural and community center in New York City. Many of these archival recordings are newly available through Poetry Center Online. Now you and your students can add your own voices to the celebration of poetry! The Poetry Center invites you to be a part of their 75th anniversary celebration by recording a reading of your favorite poem! Go to the website for instructions.
Poetry Center Online also presents 75 at 75: Writers on Recordings, a special anniversary project inviting authors to listen to a recording of a poem and write a personal response.
